Mary Codd is Associate Dean of Public Health and Associate Professor of Epidemiology & Biostatistics at the UCD School of Public Health Physiotherapy and Sports Science. She is Director of the Master of Public Health (MPH) Programme and the Erasmus Mundus Joint European Master of Public Health (Europubhealth) at UCD. As a member of the ASPHER Executive Board, Mary was Project Scientific Lead on the ECDC Core Competencies in Applied Infectious Disease Epidemiology (2020-22) and is now the Lead of the ASPHER Core Curriculum Programme. Along with colleagues at SPHPSS, Mary hosted the 2023 ASPHER Deans' and Directors' Retreat in Dublin.

Karl F. Conyard is the Core Curriculum Programme ASPHER Fellow based at the UCD School of Public Health Physiotherapy and Sports Science. Karl’s work before joining ASPHER was in population health and epidemiology, working within Irelands’ national health service (HSE) as an operations manager in Covid-19 Contact Management Programme overseeing the national specialised clinical contact tracing team. Karl’s original background was in auxiliary nursing, followed by a BSc in Health and Society at Dublin City University and MPH degree at UCD. He is currently on the mature entry medicine pathway at RCSI. Karl has attained the RCSI Certificate in Lifestyle Medicine. Karl is also a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health (UK) and the Royal Statistical Society (UK). Karl is also an Affiliate Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

Michal Bystram is a PhD candidate of Public Health at the Department of General, Endocrine and Transplant Surgery at the Medical University of Gdansk, Poland and a young activist for the academic community. Interested in health care management, student competence development and quality of public health education. A member of the ASPHER Young Professional Programme, Michal has a keen intrest in programme design and delivery with regards to the Core Currciculum Programme.

Mariah De Vos is an alumna of UCD Master of Public Health: Epidemiology (2022-2023). Mariah's background is in social work with experience in both qualitative and quantitative research. Her time at UCD broadened her research interests, particularly in evaluating policy interventions at the nexus of public health and climate change. Mariah is currently working as a Senior Health Policy Analyst at the Washington State Health Care Authority in Washington, USA, where she focuses on designing, implementing, and evaluating innovative healthcare delivery systems within the state.

Dr. Uma Divya Kudupudi is an ASPHER Assistant affliated with UCD, with expertise in the field of Epidemiology. With a background in MBBS (Medicine and Surgery) and Master of Public Health from University College Dublin. Uma is presently pursuing her studies with MRCS exams conducted by RCSI. Expanding to helding a position as an assistant to UCD ASPHER assisting with the core curriculum, Uma also works as Site Safety Representative for Microsoft enhancing occupational health. Uma is also a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health (UK) and a Affiliate Member with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Uma’s research interests include Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health promotion, Administrative management and Publications.

Christina Lang is a Master student of Governance and Leadership in European Public Health programme at Maastricht University (2022-2023). Before joining the ASPHER CCP Team she completed her B.Sc. in Nursing at the PTHV in Vallendar, Germany. Besides her studies she lectures nursing theory and practice to students in their preparatory vocational year. In her Master´s thesis, she follows her passion for the SDG´s and how they are integrated into the training of public health professionals using the WHO-ASPHER competency framework.

Arianna Maviglia is an intern affiliated with ASPHER (2023), specializing in the field of economic evaluation within public health. As an ASPHER intern, she coordinates the ASSETS Summer School programme. With a background in Global Governance and previous experience as a medical writer, Arianna is presently pursuing her studies in Governance and Leadership in European Public Health at Maastricht University. Additionally, she serves as the Project Coordinator for the Red Cross Student Desk in Maastricht. Arianna's research interests encompass health economics, health inequalities and socio-political determinate of health, health communication, and Public Health law.
