We were also honoured to have in attendance and as keynote speaker Dr. Mike J. Ryan WHO Executive Director, Health Emergencies Programme. All in attendance were instilled with inspiration and Dr. Ryan noted the importance and need for a unified core curriculum for the new normal we now find ourselves in regarding the public health landscapes of scarcity, emergency, war and pandemics.

We also were very lucky to have in attendance key Irish public health physicians who have directed Ireland’s public health response and contact tracing services against Covid-19. Dr. Tony Holohan (Former Chief Medical Officer of Ireland) and Dr. Augustine Pereira (National Clinical Lead, Contact Management Programme, Health Service Executive, Ireland).
