ASPHER Fellow Karl F. Conyard participated in the Young Professionals’ Panel, where future leaders in public health discussed the evolving needs in public health education and practice.
The panel was moderated by ASPHER Young Proffessional Lead Ms. Ines Siepmann
The panel underscored several key themes, such as the need for adequate remuneration for public health professionals, fostering holistic and intentional inclusion in the field, and creating adaptive curricula that can evolve with changing public health challenges.
They also emphasized the importance of mentorship and outreach programs designed to break down existing power dynamics within the sector. These reflections aim to ensure that the next generation of public health professionals is well-supported, diverse, and equipped with the skills needed for the future.
